Time Murderer, Please

April 2009

Review transcriped from Noda magazine

The action takes place in the Round Table Public House, in the living room and the bar, as a mysterious stranger enters the bar claiming he has lost his memory.

This comedy thriller starts with the talk of a murder being committed.

The characters who frequent the bar start tongues wagging as to who the stranger is, and where he is from.

From the off, you are guessing as to who, and what, this stranger has done.

Getting to know the characters and how they fit into the play, was cleverly done. The ten strong cast all played thier parts to the full.

The play was very well produced (with last minute changes as a result of people having to drop out and others recast) and it was excellent.

One person who made an impact on me was Sophie Fitzpatrick, who played Sadie, the young barmaid girlfriend of the policeman. Although so young, Sophie shows great potential.

John Kirby, as Mr Brooks, kept everyone on the edge of their seats thinking it was him. But, in the end, the real culprit was revealed - it was a shock.

The staging worked excellently.

Overall it was brilliant - well done to all. The producer must have been so pleased with the result. Thanks for the warm welcome. JH
